When trailering bikes, one keeps tipping & getting damaged. What am I doing wrong?
I have a toy hauler where one bike goes in front of another. We put the sportster in front because it is narrower, lighter and fits within the space allowed. The softtail is wider and a foot longer, so it has to go behind the sporty. We have bought new, good, ratcheting tie downs, but somehow the softtail always seems to shift, causing damage (the bikes are close together). This last time, the wheel shifted and the fender got scraped again. We can't chock the front tires, because the trailer is a travel trailer and don't want to bolt a chock down to the floor in the living area. This is getting frustrating (and expensive!). Any suggestions? This only happens with the larger bike.

make a playwood (removeable) set up with guides or chocks mounted to it for removal when camping and not hauling...
