Need help tuning Ford GT on Gran Turismo 4, please?
I tuned a Ford GT, and now it handles like crap! and most of the time when you make a turn, the car will slide or the rear end will slide out. After i put all new parts in it, it started driving really bad. I want it to have all the power and parts i have put into it, but still handle good. I did the highest upgrade for everything. I do that for all my cars and they never handled bad after it. They handled better. I was surprised to see that the Ford GT handled horrible after tuning. Please help, thanks.
Not all cars will improve for the better when you add better parts. Some cars need to be tuned accordingly after upgrades since it may not be setup to handle them after they are applied. This is the case with the Ford GT; you added more power and have not tuned the car to handle that power so its really loose (wants to slide out into the corner).
What you need to do is correct the oversteer and possibly use tires with more grip. I usually adjust the toe angle and brake balance to correct oversteer on my cars. Toe-In at the rear wheels should help fix that. I don't remember if front toe angle has any effet, but refer to the game's description on how to adjust to reduce oversteer. I can't remember the settings for brake balance, but again, just refer to the game's description on the bottom for how to correct oversteer with brake balance adjustment. Adding weight to either the front or rear will also help with handling issues.
