I temporarily pulled over at a red zone parking space right behind a van and the van backed into me!?
Who is at fault? I literally pulled over, still had the car on, and a few seconds later this van turns on and backs up hitting my front bumper. The guy says he will not pay because he does not feel he is at fault. The most he said he would pay is 50% of the cost to repair. Should I just take it to the insurance or go 50% repair cost?
You weren't parked, you were standing. Still a no no, but ultimately, the other driver backed into you and the laws state that he didn't have control of his vehicle.
