dual sport bike power?

what is a good name brand dual sport for mostly street and some off road. i was wanting to get a used dual sport bike and i was wondering about the power . on the 400s - 650s do they have enough get up and go to get around traffic in texas going 75-80. im 6 foot 3 and 200 pounds and i have ridden all types of bikes (Harley 883, shadow 750, ktm 530 exc and all dirt bikes) forever. i cant go down to the dealer and test ride cause im 17
i dont mind the seat the way i see it it is more comfortable on the highway than of the trails and in motocross
also on the mileage is it the same on a motorcycle were 20000 is getting up there or do they were out faster. i know how you ride plays a lot but on average how many miles is it till it is half warn out

i converted my XR650R to dual sport it would run about 105 with stock gears 14/48. with a 15/47 you could get 110-112....it could hold 70mph easy but i didnt like being on the interstate with a dual sport there to many people out there that dont pay attention.
in TX it is still legal to do this. you could probably pick one of these bikes up pretty cheap and convert it yourself if your willing to spend the time to do it.
i never had any issues out of mine i spent 70 dirt 30 street changed the oil every 600-700 miles
never had any issues with it it was a 2000 models so you bet it had some miles on it!

KTM and HUSKY make some really nice enduros.
i dont know how long those engines will last before you need to rebuild the top end on them they seem to be a bit more high strung than the XRR. another bike is the XR650L its an air cooled lower HP out put version of the R but on the up side it does have the easy button and since you will spend most of your time on the road the L would prob be more suitable of the 2 big hondas. it is a little more stable at higher speeds on pavement
good luck in your choice and keep the rubber side down
