Hi! I'm Dave. I'll get a decent picture to put up here later, but it's not an incredibly high priority for me. I'll try to keep the personal stuff to a minimum to avoid boring you and let you see some of the important things to know about me. Firstly, I'm 20, been playing guitar since I was about ten, and been playing with computers since I was five or six. These two things have basically comprised what might be considered my life for several years now. I'm not too social by choice, unless you count instant messeging as being social... but I guess I'm really not a bad guy once you get to know me.

Currently, I work at InstallerNet, Inc. They manage a product known as the InstallCard, which is basically prepaid contract time for installation of almost anything eletronic. Car audio and accessories, and moving into home A/V installations as well. I'm an ASP.NET web developer there, managing the administration application that handles pretty much everything that matters to the company. Given the type of work it is, I can't go into much detail... but let's just say it's a lot of stuff. It's given me a very broad range of skills to sharpen up on, primarily maintaining code that someone else has written. Not easy at first, but once you get a feel for how they code, it's not that difficult.

My previous employment was the same position at Delphi Technology Solutions, Inc. While working there, my work had me maintaining several different sites, most noteably among them are Keepsake Quilting and its' sister sites, Giggles of Andover, a local children's clothing store, and Interstate Arms Corp., a national wholesale firearms distributor. All sites are written with VisualBasic and ASP.NET, although all three utilize distinct data systems. Keepsake Quilting and sister sites run off of the IBM UniVerse database, The Suffolk Group uses simply XML, and Interstate Arms uses a Microsoft SQL database. All present different challenges in code structure, and thus require different skill sets.

InstallerNet's sites are all built using C# and MS SQL, as are any programs that you see posted here for download. I can do support with VB, but if you're looking to have a brand new program or site built by me, then I'm going to use C# if at all possible. If you are interested in anything, please fill out the contact form located here, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
